The primary focus of this role is to lead and team and improve the health, safety and environment culture across a national multi-site workforce. Your ability to influence and passion for change will help this organisation put their values and behaviours on display.

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop a trusted and effective partnership with clients, suppliers and operational teams.
  • Provide clear and accurate advice on HSE matters.
  • Drive effective compliance programs to ensure that the business complies with legislation, codes
  • Conduct site audits and compile reports as directed.
  • Drive a positive safety culture in accordance with corporate health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Maintain efficient record keeping and document control procedures.
  • Undertake incident investigations
  • Undertake Emergency management
  • Coach, mentor and provide safety training as needed
  • Investigating all injury, incident or near miss situations encountered on site or at site of incident – bring to a decision
  • Conduct risk and compliance checks on a regular basis.
  • Undertake systems audits as required.

Key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrate experience working in a Leadership safety /HSEQ management role ( having led a team).
  • Relevant qualification with a minimum Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Ability to implementation and rollout the HSEQ Safety framework.
  • Experience in conducting site inspections, audits and training.
  • Experience in incident investigations & Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM).
  • Proven stakeholder management, building strong relationships with clients, lead collaborative efforts and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to drive positive HSEQ outcomes.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently.
  • High level computer literacy
  • Relevant industry background includes blue collar, asset management, oil & gas, construction, mass transport, industrial.

We are seeking a highly motivated person who enjoys working in a close-knit team to search out and recruit the best talent for our clients. Experience in the executive search area is an advantage but not a requirement. TRANSEARCH offers a flexible work environment, and we are happy to negotiate a mix of work from home and our CBD office over your three days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Research Manager to provide desk top research and mapping of industries, organisations and talented individuals  
  • Work with the Directors to create target lists
  • Prepare industry or talent investigation reports
  • Skill code clients and candidates
  • Conduct database searches to identify candidates or clients
  • Join Directors or the Research Manager in client briefings
  • Load candidate resumes and cover letters on databases

Key Requirements

  • Availability 3 days per week
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A high level of interpersonal skills, to liaise effectively with a wide range of people at a variety of levels
  • The ability and willingness to learn different research techniques
  • Have advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • An understanding of Boolean search and/or the willingness to learn
  • The ability to learn different CRM systems
  • Be a team player – good interpersonal skills
  • Diploma or Tertiary qualified (preferred)

This organisation is the world's leading independent tank storage company. With headquarters in Europe, they take pride in storing products that are vital to our economy and daily lives, such as Petroleum, oil, chemicals, gases and LNG to biofuels and vegetable oils.  

They operate a truly global network along major trade routes with 66 terminals in 25 countries and employ over 5,700 staff worldwide. In Australia they have terminals in Sydney and Darwin and provide bulk liquid products including road fuels that are vital to the local economy.

To further their significant success, they are now seeking an experienced manager to join the senior leadership team, managing their Port Botany Terminal.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Commitment to a safety and service
  • Extensive team management and leadership with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation and develop internal capability to meet future requirements
  • Experience working with hazardous and dangerous materials especially oil terminals is preferred
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building both internally and externally
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to maintain awareness of current market knowledge and trends
  • Ability to make data based decisions that maximise opportunities while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety
  • Knowledge of relevant compliance standards and reporting
  • Commercial acumen with experience with operating and Capex budgets and the ability to identify value add projects.
