Chief Financial Officer

Ego Pharmaceuticals

Melbourne, Australia

Ego Pharmaceuticals is a proudly Australian-owned business that has led the development, manufacture and distribution of science-backed skincare products for over 70 years. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation and integrity, Ego’s trusted brands — including QV Skincare, DermAid, MOOV Head Lice and Aqium — are used by consumers and healthcare professionals in more than 25 countries.

Founded in 1953 as a family-owned company, Ego has grown into a global leader with operations in 13 countries, producing over 150 products and selling more than 29 million units annually. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution sites in Melbourne support a robust international footprint, and its continued success is underpinned by a clear values framework built on science, service, ethics and innovation.

To support ongoing growth and transformation, Ego now seeks a commercially minded, operationally focused finance executive to join the leadership team as Chief Financial Officer.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Managing Director and Board, the CFO will lead a capable and globally distributed finance team. Based at Ego’s Global Support Centre in Melbourne’s South Eastern Suburbs, the CFO will oversee all aspects of financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, funding, audit, risk and compliance.

With the current CFO retiring in early 2026, a structured transition and handover period is planned.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Lead the end-to-end global finance function across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee reporting, compliance, treasury, cashflow and audit.
  • Guide budgeting, capital planning and funding strategies to support long-term growth.
  • Lead the finance stream of the SAP S/4HANA upgrade.
  • Coach and develop a lean and high-performing finance team (20+ staff globally).
  • Provide trusted financial insight to the CEO, Managing Director and Executive Team.

About You

  • 15+ years’ senior finance leadership, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical or consumer sectors.
  • Experience managing multi-entity, international finance operations.
  • Strong technical capability across reporting, cashflow, compliance, audit and funding.
  • CA or CPA (essential); MBA or postgrad qualifications (desirable).
  • Experience with ERP transformation (SAP experience highly regarded).
  • A collaborative, values-led leader who builds trust and delivers with clarity.

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly successful, privately owned Australian business with global reach and a strong growth outlook. The role offers impact, visibility, and a long-term pathway for an accomplished finance leader who thrives in complex, evolving environments.
