As the CEO of live Performance Australia, you will be instrumental in supporting the vibrant live arts and entertainment industry across music, theatre, dance, festivals, and venues. You will lead a collaborative national organisation that supports and embraces the capability and expertise of over 400 commercial and not-for-profit members.

Your focus may be as significant as influencing federal and state government policy to assist members locally and globally in their business strategies, through to negotiation of Workplace Agreements, licensing, advising on venue infrastructure planning, immigration services and preparing government submissions.

Working with the highly capable Executive Council members from across Australia and all LPA industry sectors, you will lead a knowledgeable and passionate team of nine in the Melbourne office. Skilled in policy and governance, workplace relations, membership services, immigration services and public affairs, this is a high energy team committed to continuous improvement across the live performance industry.

You will have experience in all or most of the key areas of responsibility which include:

expertise in the arts and entertainment sectors
stakeholder management
effective advocacy in representing the interests of the live performance sector at state and federal levels
financial acumen
outstanding written and verbal communication skills
crisis management
innovation and creativity
cultural sensitivity
operational effectiveness

The remuneration for this role is in line with the other industry representative organisations and the opportunities to learn more about the nuances of the broader industry and create a significant impact for the sector makes this a very appealing opportunity for an accomplished leader.
