The organisation
Alfred Health is one of the state’s largest tertiary healthcare providers.  They are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and community based services. The Alfred has one of Australia’s busiest emergency and trauma centres, the state’s largest Intensive Care Unit and is home to 14 statewide services.

The role
Working closely with the Director Medical Workforce, you will lead a small team overseeing the management of all medical staff operations activities and play a key role in the strategic direction of medical workforce development at Alfred Health. This includes pro-active workforce planning to ensure optimum utilisation of resources whilst managing the organisation needs and finances relating to medical staff. You will also be responsible for establishing processes, systems and regular reports to measure activity and performance in regards to operational activities.

About you
An accomplished professional, you will have experience in a similar role in a complex environment. You may have worked with medical, nursing or paramedic services to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the department and have a sound understanding of Enterprise Agreements. You will have strong stakeholder management skills and ability to coach and lead staff in your area partnered with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are comfortable working across all levels of an organisation and have experience with a variety of HRIS, Rostering and ERP systems enabling you to quickly adapt the changing needs of the sector.
