Through a strategic collaboration, the boards of the highly regarded Catholic Super and Equip Super Funds have agreed to build future member value by merging their operations, whilst retaining their distinct employer and member brands.

As the most senior executive position in this newly formed entity, the CEO will be responsible for the leadership and overall management of the organisation within the parameters set by the Board. The role is accountable to the Board and to members, and is responsible for ensuring the Fund’s long term sustainable growth and returns.

You will be an inspiring leader, with the proven ability to create cultural engagement through values based leadership.Committed to retaining individual brands whilst leveraging economies of scale, you will have the ability to shape the culture and values of the new entity. Importantly in the first year is the need to successfully bring together these two highly regarded Super Funds. You will also have the capability and proven experience, to grow the $26B fund to $50B in FUM by facilitating further mergers.

To be considered you will have:

  • Experience in the Financial Services sector and an understanding of the superannuation landscape in Australia;
  • Direct experience successfully merging two organisations in a merger or acquisition scenario;
  • Successful implementation of transformational strategies to achieve significant organic and inorganic growth;
  • Experience leading an organisation or significant division of a large listed or multinational Company;
  • Demonstrated commitment to building and investing in multi-brands, and the courage to lead sector innovation;
  • Integrity, outstanding communication skills and the courage to lead, with commitment to deliver a best in sector reputation.

Location: Melbourne with regular travel to interstate and regional offices.
