The Magistrates’ Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within Court Services Victoria. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. 

As a result of the Royal Commission into Family Violence and the CEO’s vision and strategy for a modern court, a number of initiatives and programs are required to be developed or expanded by the court.

As the court will play a lead role in managing processes and drive these changes, it wishes to appoint a Director of Organisational Change to deliver on these initiatives and ensure the program of works are well planned and executed and relevant stakeholders are informed and aligned to the journey.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Court’s leadership team and the Transformation Board, the person will provide high level advice to the leadership team in conjunction with the following:

  • develop and maintain a change management strategy
  • design organisational structures and sustainability
  • manage the cultural transformation
  • build and manage a capable and effective Change Office
  • adopt technology solutions to underpin business improvement
  • develop better and safer facilities
  • strengthen workforce capability to achieve best practice services  

To succeed you will need high level people management skills, strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and leadership skills, and a performance management mindset. Your referees will confirm you are a strategic thinker and innovator, and are driven by strong values, honesty and courage.  You will have delivered similar large scale and complex change programs ideally in the public sector.
